Year 10

Course Description

Money Around the World

In Class 10 you'll zoom out to see money in a bigger context. You'll convert between currencies, compare prices per kilogram to find real value, discover how compound interest grows money faster than simple interest over time, and build a complete picture of what personal financial health actually looks like.

What you'll learn

  • Convert between NZD and any other currency in both directions
  • Calculate price per kilogram to compare value across different pack sizes
  • Step through month-by-month compound interest to see how balances grow
  • Compare compound and simple interest over the same period and explain the difference
  • Identify the six core components of personal finance and how they connect
